An actual grandma owns and runs this casual, American-style café, along with the other four branches in her chain. She started her enterprise in 2003, and has been satisfying Beijing’s desire for tasty, hearty, home-style food ever since.
This branch opened in 2007 and sits just east of the Forbidden City [2]. It serves an award-winning brunch along with classics like burgers, BLTs, milkshakes, and apple pie. You get free refills of coffee and a choice of omelets, hash browns, and other breakfast treats before 2 p.m.
The restaurant has a quiet courtyard and a cozy but airy atmosphere inside. It’s strictly casual, with a living-room feel.
