Fall in love with one of China’s more unusual regional cuisines at this date-worthy South Bund gem. Lost Heaven is part of a group that operates several similar restaurants and bars around town, and this venue is arguably the best of the bunch.
Inside, the atmosphere is tribal chic, with plenty of dark wood, candlelight, and ethnic wall hangings. The recent addition of a wide roof terrace flanked with bamboo provides a good option for evening drinks when the weather is warm.
Foodwise, expect Yunnanese specialties like Dai-style chicken with Tibetan, Thai, and Burmese influences. It’s the food of the Mountain Mekong region and it’s incredibly versatile.
