Located atop the Ritz-Carlton in the ifc complex, Flair is Shanghai’s newest destination bar. Its terrace brings you up close and personal with the candy-pink spheres of the Oriental Pearl Tower [1], with a backdrop of the Bund and Hongkou suburbs stretching out behind.
Flair is the highest outdoor bar, but you’ll be looking at a costly down payment for a table outside. If you’re not looking to spend a lot, don’t worry: The interior is pretty special too, with leather armchairs and striped sofas, wood floors, and a fireplace for winter.
The wine list is thorough and there’s a good selection of beers, spirits, and cocktails. A weekday happy hour runs 5:30-7:30 p.m. with two-for-one drinks. There’s a ¥350 minimum here, so be prepared to have more than one drink.
