Stay Korea is a lovely little hostel run by a globetrotting couple who happily attend to guests’ every need in fluent Korean, Japanese, French, or English. It’s only a short stroll from Hongik University station but on a fairly quiet backstreet.
The rooms (₩50,000-80,000) are simple but clean and comfortable, and colorful furniture and artwork betray a designer’s touch. The owners give guests virtual free rein of the hostel’s communal facilities and services, which include Internet, cable TV, a washing machine and iron, computer, printer and fax, bicycles, continental breakfast, an outdoor terrace, and a small library.
Would that places four times the price were this well-equipped and generous.
