Several agencies have put together one-day tours into the Perene Valley below Chanchamayo [1] that pack an extraordinary number of activities into one day.
These include crossing a river on a wire trolley, sunbathing on a sandy beach, traveling by boat from the river port of Pichanaki to an Asháninka community, and swimming or even rappelling off a set of extraordinary 120-meter-high waterfalls known as Bayoz and Velo de la Novia (Bride’s Veil). The closest waterfall is Cascada El Tirol, just outside San Ramón [2].
