Just a 20-minute drive north of Mérida [1] is the Club de Golf La Ceiba (Carr. Mérida- Progreso Km. 14.5, tel. 999/922-0053, 6:30 a.m.– 6 p.m. daily). At the far end of an upscale, gated community, the 18-hole, par-72 golf course is open to the public and costs US$95 per round. Equipment rentals available.
