West of David

There are a few notable places between David [1] and the Costa Rican border, though they are not high on most people’s list of tourist attractions. The industrial port of Puerto Armuelles is important in the shipment of bananas and oil, Paso Canoa [2] is the major border crossing with Costa Rica [3], and Punta Burica [4] is an extraordinarily remote spot for surfers who truly want to get away from absolutely everything.
