Isla Iguana (Arridup) is a private island 20 minutes by boat from the hotel island Sapibenega. It’s cared for by the hotel, whose staff rakes the sand and clears debris and trash to make it appealing for guests.
It’s a nice place to hang out on the beach by a coconut palm and look at the sea or the forest-covered mountains, but the snorkeling isn’t good. The coral has been decimated, the water is often turbulent and cloudy, especially after a rain, and the fish are scarce.
