Coronado Main Beach

The can’t-miss Hotel del Coronado [1] marks the Coronado Main Beach (Ocean Blvd.). Anyone can walk through the outdoor common areas of the Del to get out to this charming sandy beach.

Yet another fabulous sun-drenched chunk of coastline, the Coronado Main Beach gets ultra-crowded in the summertime, so come early if you want a prime spot of your own.

Do pay attention to the signs and flags—a nasty breakwater of large boulders hides under the water just in front of the Del at high tide. Also take a look at the odd-shaped dunes; from the air, they spell out “Del Coronado.”
