Boating

In Mission Bay [1] and San Diego Bay, the calm waters make great fun of all forms of boating, from paddle-boating to waterskiing [2] to sailing [3]. Kayaking [4] is a special local favorite pastime, especially for would-be explorers of the famous La Jolla Caves.

If you plan to exit the bays for the open ocean, be sure you’re either competent to navigate a watercraft on the open sea, or have somebody with you who can do it. Watch the weather reports, and pay attention to local experts.
