Families will enjoy the Log Cabin Village (2100 Log Cabin Village Ln., 817/392-5881, www.logcabinvillage.org [1], Tues.–Fri. 9 a.m.–4 p.m., 1–5 p.m. Sat.–Sun., $4.50 adults, $4 children ages 4–17 and seniors), featuring seven authentic pioneer homes built during the mid-19th century and moved to the current site in the 1950s.
The site’s exhibits include a water-powered gristmill, one-room schoolhouse, and blacksmith shop. Historical interpreters depict the lifestyle of the pioneers who settled in the area.
