One of the more elegant ethnic restaurants around Boston [1], Elephant Walk (900 Beacon St., Cambridge, 617/247-1500, 11 a.m.–10 p.m.Mon.–Sat.; 10 a.m.–9 p.m. Sun., www.elephantwalk.com [2], $14–20) feels like a night in a well-appointed Phnom Penh hotel, between the swaying palm fronds and dark woods. But the menu is more Cambodia-meets-Cannes, split between classic French dishes and Southeast Asian dishes like banana leaf–wrapped scallops in coconut milk.
