Meat lovers won’t be disappointed by a night at Crave Steakhouse (333 Main St., Wakefield, 401/789-0914, www.craveseafoodsteak.com [1], 5–9 p.m. Wed.–Thu., 5–10 p.m. Fri.–Sat., 4–9 p.m. Sun.; $14–31); the kitchen grills and churns out admirable specimens of beef, lamb, and pork. Seafood is less spectacular, but the pasta dishes more than make up for it.
Excess is the name of the game at Mew’s Tavern (456 Main St., Wakefield, 401/783-9370, www.mewstavern.com [2], 11 a.m.–1 a.m. daily, $10–18), which boasts 69 beers on tap and 200 single-malt scotches—and that’s just for starters. The comprehensive menu runs from steak to seafood to pizza, served up in a faux log cabin ski lodge.
