For a more flexible itinerary, contact The Young Outdoor Company (673 Crow Hill Rd., Arlington, 802/375-9313, bobyoung [at] together [dot] net), whose proprietor Bob Young is a veteran instructor for the Orvis School and will instruct you in your choice of fly or spin fishing, with or without a boat.

Chartered bass fishing on nearby lakes is offered by Green Mountain Fishing Guide Service (593 Rte. 140, Tinmouth, 802/446-3375), whose bass master, Rod Start, has 25 years of experience on the fishing-tournament circuit.
