The Clearwater Canoe Trail is really a floating and hiking loop trail. There’s a three-mile canoe segment from an access point off Highway 83 four miles north of the town of Seeley Lake [1], then a one-mile hike back to the put-in spot. The meandering Clearwater River is a good place to watch birds. Keep an eye out for loons. Canoe rentals are available at the nearby Tamaracks Resort.
