The Cathedral of St. Helena (530 N. Ewing St., 406/442-5825, 7:15 a.m.–6 p.m. except during services, free) was begun in 1908 but wasn’t finished until 1924. Modeled after Cologne Cathedral, Helena’s [1] largest church dominates the skyline with its 230-foot twin spires. Its stained glass was fashioned in Germany, although the images of the Seven Sacraments seem out of a Burne-Jones pre-Raphaelite painting.
