Most of Helena’s [1] hotels and motels are located at the fringes of the city at busy intersections.
One notable exception is the modest but well-situated Budget Inn Express (524 Last Chance Gulch, 406/442-0600 or 800/862-1334, $44 and up). It’s in the heart of downtown and right around the corner from a large natural-foods store.
Knight’s Rest Motel (1831 Euclid Ave., 406/442-6384 or 888/442-6384) is a good value with double rooms at $44. Pets are allowed.
