Follow Black Otter Trail to the eastern base of the Rimrocks [1] to find Boothill Cemetery, one of the only reminders of the old town of Coulson. At rest here are 52 early residents, many after meeting violent ends. Coulson’s sheriff, “Muggins” Taylor, is buried here, as is Henry Lump, the man who killed him. Taylor was the Army scout who brought news of the Custer massacre to the world via Fort Ellis in 1876.
