Billings’s [1] small zoo, Zoomontana (2100 Shiloh Rd., 406/652-8100, 10 a.m.–5 p.m. daily May–Sept. 24, 10 a.m.–4 p.m. winter, $6 adults, $4 seniors, $3 children 3–15) is devoted to northern hemisphere temperate species. It features native animals including river otters, owls, and ferrets, as well as more exotic species such as a Siberian tiger and Seca deer. In addition, there are a number of gardens and nature exhibits on the 70-acre property.
The Discovery Center features hands-on exhibits and educational displays.
To reach ZooMontana, take I-90 exit 446 and follow the signs west.
