Short for “North of Gaston Street,” the NOGS Tour of Hidden Gardens (912/961-4805, www.gcofsavnogstour.org [1], $30) is available two days in April and focuses on Savannah [2]’s amazing selection of private gardens selected for excellence of design, historical interest, and beauty.

Everyone loves the annual free Sidewalk Arts Festival (912/525-5865, www.scad.edu [3]) presented by the Savannah College of Art and Design in Forsyth Park [4]. Contestants claim a rectangular section of sidewalk on which to display their chalk art talent. There’s a non-contest section with chalk provided.
