Head out Central Avenue, to the area between Cooper and East Parkway, for the greatest concentration of antiques stores. Flashback (2304 Central Ave., 901/272-2304) sells both vintage furniture and clothes, including a whole lot of Levi’s jeans.
Louedau’s (2174 Young Ave., 901/722-9681) has fabric, lace, and vintage baby clothes. Another good choice is Toad Hall Antiques (2129 Central Ave., 901/726-0755), easy to find because of a brightly painted mural on the outside of the building.
