The City of Memphis operates award-winning 18-hole golf courses at Audubon Park (4160 Park Ave., 901/683-6941) with gently rolling hills; Fox Meadows (3064 Clarke Rd., 901/362-0232), which is easy to walk but with several challenging holes; Galloway Park (3815 Walnut Grove, 901/685-7805); Davy Crockett Golf Course (4380 Rangeline Rd., 901/368-3375); and Pine Hill Park (1005 Alice Ave., 901/775-9434), a great course for walkers.
There are two public nine-hole courses: one at Riverside Park (465 S. Parkway W., 901/576-4260) and one at Overton Park [1] (2080 Poplar Ave., 901/725-9905). Greens fees on the public courses are under $20.
One of the best-kept golf secrets in town is the 18-hole par-71 course at T. O. Fuller State Park [2] (1500 W. Mitchell Rd., 901/543-7771) south of downtown.
