This narrow patch of downtown, located in between 3rd and 4th Avenues off Church Street, is home to a half-dozen nightclubs and bars, many that cultivate a seedy reputation. While reality may be a bit more tame, it is still a popular place to let loose. Elaborate wrought-iron balconies and the cobblestone underfoot evoke Bourbon Street, a parallel that seems to suit the place.
Bars here include Bourbon Street Blues and Boogie Bar (220 Printer’s Alley, 615/242-5867) and Fiddle and Steel (201 Printer’s Alley, 615/251-9002). Printer’s Alley also has a karaoke bar and one of the city’s most storied adult-entertainment bars.
