No city is better endowed with places to buy Western-style wear. The best selection is found in shops along Broadway in downtown Nashville [1], where you’ll find hats, boots, shirts, belts, jeans, and everything else you’ll need to look the part. Opry Mills, the mall next to the Grand Ole Opry [2], also has a good selection of Western wear.
Even without a ton of cash you can outfit yourself in some of the best Western designs at Katy K Designs Ranch Dressing (2407 12th Ave. S., 615/297-4242). This is the showplace of designer Katy K’s unique clothing line, which has been worn by the likes of Loretta Lynn and BR549. Ranch Dressing has a well-curated selection of vintage goods, plus clothing from other designers’ lines. To find the shop, look for the giant cowgirl on the facade of an otherwise nondescript office building.
Trail West (312 Broadway, 615/251-1711) is a one-stop shop for country clothes. Boot Country (304 Broadway, 615/259-1691) specializes in all styles and sizes of cowboy boots.
Music-industry men and women get dressed at flavour (1522-B Demonbreun, 615/254-2064), a hip clothing store on Music Row [3]. Come here for stylish denim, cowboy boots, plus casual and dressy wear for ladies and gents. This is not your daddy’s boot store; this is country music chic.
The name says it all at Manuel Exclusive Clothier (1922 Broadway, 615/321-5444), a clothing shop where the cowboy shirts start at $750 and jackets at over $2,000.
