UT’s [1] art museum is the Ewing Gallery (1715 Volunteer Blvd., 865/974-3200, www.ewing-gallery.org [2], Mon.–Fri. 8:30 a.m.–5 p.m., Sun. 1–4 p.m., free). Located on the first floor of the university’s Art and Architecture Building, the Ewing Gallery is named for the founder of UT’s art program. Student and faculty art shares the 3,000-square-foot exhibition space with visiting shows from other museums.
During UT’s summer break, gallery hours are cut back to Monday–Friday 11 a.m.–4 p.m. The gallery closes on university holidays and between exhibits.
