The McGhee Tyson Airport (TYS, www.tys.org [1]) is the Knoxville [2] area’s airport. It is located 12 miles south of the city in Blount County.

Two major interstate highways cross in Knoxville [2]. I-75 is a north–south highway that connects with Lexington, Kentucky, in the north and Chattanooga to the south. I-40 is an east–west thoroughfare. About 35 miles east of Knoxville I-40 peels off and heads into North Carolina, while I-81 heads to the Tri-Cities and points northeast. I-40 west heads to Nashville [4] and Memphis [3].
Greyhound (www.greyhound.com [5]) serves Knoxville [2] with bus service to Nashville [4], Chattanooga, Asheville, Atlanta, and many other cities. The Greyhound station is located at 100 E. Magnolia Avenue. The station number is 865/524-0369.
