Located at the Sevierville municipal airport, the Tennessee Museum of Aviation (135 Air Museum Way, 865/908-0171 or 866/286-8738, www.tnairmuseum.org [2], Mon.–Sat. 10 a.m.–6 p.m., Sun. 1–6 p.m., adults $12.75, seniors $9.75, children 6–12 $6.75, under 6 free) is an enthusiast’s dream. Glass-enclosed cases display memorabilia associated with Tennessee aviation and the heated exhibit hangar houses airworthy planes, including two P-47D Thunderbolts and a Navy TBM Avenger.
The aviation museum is located two miles outside of downtown Sevierville [1] along Highway 411. Look for the signs to the airport and aviation museum.
