There are a bevy of discount hotels and motels in the northern and southern outskirts of Everett [1]. Particularly beware many of the cut-rate offerings on North Broadway Avenue. Some of these joints are a health inspector’s worst nightmare and attract a live-in crowd of questionable character.
If you are absolutely desperate for a cheap overnight spot, Welcome Motor Inn (1205 N. Broadway Ave., 425/252-8828 or 800/252-5512) has threadbare rooms for $49–72 s or $59–79 d, some with kitchenettes. Nonsmoking rooms still smell smoky here.
A better budget bet is on the south end of town at Sunrise Motor Inn (8421 Evergreen Way/Hwy. 99, 425/347-1100 or 888/222-2112, $54–66 s or d), with a continental breakfast.
