When it comes to chain motels in Shelton [1], Super 8 Motel (2943 N. View Cir., 360/426-1654 or 800/843-1991, www.super8.com [2], $55 s or $65 d) is it. The rooms aren’t a disaster, but they aren’t all that comfy either.
Most guests—even non-gamblers—would be better served heading into Hoodsport [3] or splurging a little and checking in to the 
Little Creek Casino Resort (91 W. Highway 108, 360/427-7711, www.little-creek-casino.com [4], $145–275 d), which offers very nice rooms for reasonable rates. There’s a spa on-site, plus an indoor pool and the ever-popular buffet restaurant.
