Built in 1910, the lovingly restored old Methow Valley Inn B&B (234 2nd E. Ave., 509/997-2253, www.methowvalleyinn.com [1], $99 s or d) is one of the few structures to survive the fire of 1924. It’s a friendly and homey place, with seven guest rooms (four with private baths) and a full breakfast. No kids are permitted.
Other local places offer more standard accommodations. Sportsmen Motel (less than a mile east of Twisp on Hwy. 20, 509/997-2911, $39 s or $44 d) is a friendly small place with kitchens in most rooms.
Blue Spruce Motel (1321 E. Methow Valley Rd., 509/997-8852, $38 s or $45 d, $50 d with kitchenettes) is just across the street from Sportsmen.
Idle-A-While Motel in town (509/997-3222, $50 s or $58 d) has brightly painted cottages and motel rooms, including a hot tub and sauna.
