BC MacDonald’s (104 E. Woodin Ave., 509/682-1334, daily 8 a.m.–8:30 p.m.) is a noisy, happening place with an old cherry wood back bar that delivers lots of microbrews on tap. The trendy but tasty menu features gourmet burgers, fresh seafood, chicken, pastas, and homemade soups. BC’s has blues and rock acts on throughout the week in summer.

Campbell House in Campbell’s Resort (104 W. Woodin Ave., 509/682-2561, open by reservation) is the old standby, offering elegant dining and a continental menu specializing in Angus steaks and fresh seafood; prices are moderate to expensive. Reservations highly recommended in the summer. The patio is popular on summer evenings.
