The quaint little town of Snoqualmie (pop. 2,000), with about two blocks of civilization on either side of the tracks, has a number of attractions worth a look, including nearby Snoqualmie Falls [1].
As you approach the town, dozens of aging train engines and railcars in varying states of repair crowd the railroad tracks.
Surrounding the town are a few once-agricultural settlements such as Carnation that are now taken over as suburban enclaves by past and present Microsoft employees.
