Peak-baggers who don’t feel up to taking on Mount Si [1] for the day are quite fond of the 1.5-mile walk up Rattlesnake Mountain to the 2,079-foot Rattlesnake Ledge, with amazing views of the Snoqualmie Valley, Mount Si, and Rattlesnake Lake below.
Munch on a lunch on the flat rock ledge or wait to head down and picnic on the lake, watching anglers spin and fly cast for the regularly stocked trout swimming in the chilly water.
To get to the lake and the trailhead, take exit 32 off I-90, go south on 436th Ave. SE and drive 3.1 miles to the parking area.
