The Northwest League’s Spokane Indians (www.spokaneindiansbaseball.com [1]) play Class-A baseball at the Interstate Fairgrounds Stadium on Havana Street. The 10,000-seat stadium is the classiest ballpark in the league.
In the winter, the Spokane Chiefs (700 W. Mallon Ave., 509/535-7825, www.spokanechiefs.com [2]) slap the puck around in the Spokane Veterans Memorial Arena, competing in the Western Hockey League. Concerts, ice shows, rodeos, circuses, and other major events also take place here.
Spokane Raceway Park (509/244-3663, www.spokaneracewaypark.com [3]) puts on drag and stock car races on Saturday nights May–September.
