Mallon Ave., 509/328-5965, www.clinkerdagger.com [2], daily 9 a.m.–2:30 p.m. and 4:30–9:45 p.m.) serves up a well-prepared menu that combines steaks, fresh seafood, and Northwest cuisine with a view of Spokane Falls.

Milford’s Fish House (719 N. Monroe St., 509/326-7251, Tues.–Fri. 5–9:45 p.m., Sat.–Sun. 4–9 p.m.) is Spokane’s [3] favorite place for fresh seafood. Be sure to check the specials and fresh oysters. It has excellent food, friendly service, and an attractive exposed-brick setting. Reservations are advised.

C. I. Shenanigan’s Seafood Chophouse and Brewery (332 N. Spokane Falls Court, 509/455-6690, Mon.–Sat. 11:30 a.m.–10 p.m., Sun. noon–10 p.m.) combines beer and seafood in a pleasant riverside location. The patio is especially popular on sunny afternoons.
