Farmicia and Metro Café, an expanded version of Metropolitan Bakery [2] that also offers breakfast and lunch, operates out of the same great Old City space.
One of the least typical “Old City” spots in Old City, the simple, fresh flavors of the food and drinks and the friendly, casual atmosphere is a refreshing change from the sometimes over-prepared, trendy offerings at some nearby establishments.
Between the café and restaurant, you can get snacks, breakfast, coffee, lunch, brunch, dinner, or a bar menu practically any time of day. The focus of the food is organic, locally grown, and artisan ingredients, and of course, using only the best breads from Metropolitan.
Best of all, at no additional charge, you can BYOB [3] any time. An excellent happy hour is offered at the bar Tuesday–Friday 5–7 p.m., with reduced-price food and drinks.
