Society Hill is primarily residential, except for the areas that border Old City, Washington Square, and South Street.
Headhouse Square, encompassing several blocks of 2nd Street just north of South Street, is packed with bars and restaurants.
Penn’s Landing, the waterfront strip along the Delaware, has a few good offerings, and is just a short walk across a foot bridge from Society Hill.
