Oh Sabrina’s … Just the thought of your delicious food and ridiculously oversized portions is enough to lift many a hungover local from bed to come and wait an hour to be seated for brunch.

Quite simply the best brunch spot in Philadelphia [2], Sabrina’s offers every configuration of standard breakfast fare, as well as proprietary specialties like its famous challah French toast stuffed with farmer’s cheese (which, for those with smaller stomachs, comes by the half-order as well).

It’s best known for its exquisite all-day brunch menu, which you will have to wait for on weekends, but lunch and dinner at Sabrina’s are also quite good, with a nice variety of soups, sandwiches, wraps, and entrées like shrimp puttanesca and goat-cheese ravioli.

The cozy eatery stretches by twists and turns across several former row houses and offers outdoor seating that’s great for people-watching on the Italian Market [3] on sunny days.

It has been such a success that in 2007, the owners opened Sabrina’s Café and Spencer’s Too at 18th and Callowhill, skirting the Fairmount neighborhood.
