One of Philadelphia’s [2] best coffee shops, the Chapter House Café is barely a block from the bustling concrete jungle of South Street, but it might as well be on a different planet.
The minimalist white walls, dark-wood floors, and spare but comfortable black-and-silver seating are brightened by rotating installations of paintings and mobiles by local artists hanging on the walls.
You’re likely to see multiple people with Mac laptops and square-frame glasses sipping lattes and being creative, or at least looking like they are.
Besides great coffee, Chapter House serves sandwiches, cocoa, Italian sodas, and teas. And though it’s always out of bagels, there’s a good selection of pastries and muffins.
