700 S. 4th St., 215/922-3274
HOURS: Daily 8 a.m.–9 p.m.
COST: Most entrées less than $10
Simple, bright, and cheery, this corner sandwich shop may not look like much, but it has a long list of notable clientele. City politicians, public officials, and prominent (and occasionally notorious) business folk find their way to this Jewish deli in Queen Village.
The sandwiches are stacked high and packed so full, they’re a challenge for even the biggest mouth.
The prices are a little steep for corned beef or pastrami on rye (each sandwich over $10), but they’re large enough to split and still have leftovers.
