With most items under $10, Bayou Bar & Grill is an affordable place to eat on Main Street, with a lively atmosphere.
Cajun and Creole classics like gumbo, jambalaya, and Creole chili are served along with standard but good pub fare like burgers, appetizers, and award-winning buffalo wings. The hard-shell crabs are also a big hit.
In existence for more than 15 years, it’s a local favorite that draws a regular crowd for dining and an even more regular crowd for the bar scene—the friendly atmosphere, nightly drink and happy hour specials, football games, and to party on the covered outdoor deck when the weather is nice.
In search of a bit more upscale Cajun-inspired cuisine? Check out Bourbon Blue at Main and Rector Streets.
