What started as a takeout and delivery service expanded into a small sit-in restaurant due to popular demand for what many consider to be the best, most affordable Indian food in the city.
The menu is filled with simple, classic dishes with a few more creative specials offered daily as well. The flavors hit right on the mark each time.
Delivery service is available in many areas of the city, including Center City, Old City, Northern Liberties, Washington Square, University City, Fishtown, Queen Village, Bella Vista, Temple University campus, Fairmount, with limited service to Mt. Airy and Chestnut Hill, and the service area is always expanding.
Three different meal packages are offered for delivery every weekday, each including two entrées, rice, dal, chutney, and pickles and at least one package is vegetarian. Best of all, the packages, called “tiffins,” cost only $7.50 each.
The options change and are always reliably good, but you have to place an order by 10 a.m. for lunch delivery and 2 p.m. for dinner. Your lunch will arrive 11 a.m.–1 p.m. and dinner 5–7 p.m. Place an order online or by phone, or just go to eat in or take out from the full menu.
