A medal-winning microbrewery, Nodding Head provides the thirsty with eight of its own delicious beers along with a excellent selection of foreign brews. An English-style pub, it turns a bit rowdy during soccer games and heated Sunday-night Quizzo tournaments, but at other times is a chill spot for dinner and conversation.
An extensive bobblehead collection greets patrons at the top of the stairs and a dark-wood bar area has booth dining or a red velvet lounge environment; the main dining area has more traditional table seating.
This little-menu-that-could offers far-flung variety, from a full rack of baby-back ribs to polenta topped with puttanesca sauce. The appetizer menu is just as diverse; try the white beans and sage served with warm pita bread. High-quality bar fare is reasonably priced, and the same burgers, fries, and mussels served at the popular nearby Monk’s [2] (of the same owners) can be enjoyed here with a much shorter wait.
