Gross or cool? The fascinating Mutter Museum is a little bit of both. This showcase of medical oddities was founded in 1858 by the College of Physicians of Philadelphia. Exhibits include a wall of real eyeballs, President Grover Cleveland’s tumor, the tallest skeleton in the country, and the world’s largest colon.
Portraits and pieces by Philadelphia [2] artists Thomas Eakins and John Singer Sargent are on display alongside the body parts in jars. With such a weird array of science and medicine guests are bound to learn something—if they can stomach it.
