With more than 215 miles of scenic trails winding through Fairmount Park, there is a place for everyone to jog, hike, blade, bike, or ride horses. Paths range from paved to rocky terrain, flat to steep, and crowded to desolate.
Some trails are only open to hikers or bikers, so be aware of the markers. You can also grab a map of Fairmount Park at the visitors center or visit www.fairmountpark.org/trailsintro.asp [1] for more information.
Valley Forge [2] and Ridley Creek [3] offer additional trails just outside the city.
