Named for Ben Franklin’s famous almanac, the majority of Poor Richard’s Walking Tours are led by professional scholars, history teachers, and graduate students from the University of Pennsylvania [1].
They range from general three-hour history tours to themed tours, including: human rights struggles in the city; Colonial Philadelphia, the 19th-Century City; Ethnic Philadelphia: Chinatown to South Philadelphia; West Philadelphia: Past & Present; The University of Pennsylvania & Environs; and The Streetcar Suburb.
With highly knowledgeable and insightful guides, these tours are far more educational than most. Customized tours are available for groups, and prices and times vary.
