A mix of natural and cultural island history is displayed here (1799 Main Rd., 920/847-2025, 10:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m. Mon.–Fri., 11:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m. Sun. mid-June–mid-Sept., shorter hours after Labor Day, $1 adults), at the corner of Main and Jackson Harbor Road in an unassuming building resembling an old schoolhouse. Permanent artwork displays are housed within, and nature trails branch from the rear. Art classes are offered, and regular musical events are held during a weeklong midsummer festival.
