Werner’s Restaurant is a still-busy Baltimore [2] landmark on a one-way street in the city’s small financial district. The booths and tables and decor (and, frankly, some of the staff) haven’t changed in decades, and neither has the menu. This is what restaurants were like back in the 1960s, so stick with basics like tuna salad sandwiches and cheeseburgers.
You’ll notice a lot of suits and backslapping here—it’s a favorite breakfast and lunch spot (no dinner is served) for denizens of City Hall and the surrounding banks. Note that it’s only open on weekdays.
