This converted row house has nine tables—and a crowd waiting out front on most weekend mornings. The reason is that this bohemian, seat-of-the-pants operation makes some amazing breakfasts, from homemade biscuits and buttery grits to Cap’n Crunch French toast and even Maryland crab eggs Benedict.
Either arrive early in the morning (say, 7 or 8 a.m.), or very, very late: They open at 11 p.m. and close at 3 a.m. the next day on weekends, the better to handle the area’s nocturnal, booze-sodden hordes.
