The exterior couldn’t be less inviting, but inside this almost bunker-like building east of Fell’s Point’s bustling Broadway, Obrycki’s has been satisfying Baltimoreans’ and tourists’ need for steamed crabs since 1986 (and the Obrycki family has been feeding Charm City’s residents since the mid-1940s).
The brick-arched dining rooms are usually filled with locals and first-timers (more of the latter than the former) cracking and picking their way through fresh-steamed and seasoned crabs. The staff is more than willing to help novice crab consumers learn the ropes, and there are plenty of non-crab items on the menu as well.
